>.< i am sooo sooo sooo ecastic (sp?) right now. Just got back from Oni-con ( about a 15 minute drive away, hooray for living close to the hotel) Lesse, Mai uncle, big brother, little brother, and I went Friday. My little sis tagged along the day after.
I got a three day pass to go. And went yesterday (Friday) what a BLAST. The registration room had no A/C, but this random character had this gi-normus FAN. and I mean it. It was almost as tall as ME! I dubbed him "Fan-Dude" and sketched a piccu of him. Then he signed it. -I'm so stupid X3- After getting our badges, (with nifty string thingys to attach'em to) we walked around. Thus we came upon the ARCADE-ISH room. Ho-Mai-Gawd. They had Naruto(two at one time! everyone wanted to play!), Melty Blood, Stepmania, and all these kewl games, but most of all....
DDR!!!!
This dude....he looked like he was tap-dancing on the metal mats. Playing on expert mode with all bunches of goodies that made it harder to see, he even went onto combos in the thousands. He pwn'd. We came into the arcade before we left. He was still there 0.o
The Dealers Room was so awesome!!!! I got a Kyou hat from mai brother (But now i owe him a set of Dragons......ooorrrrr it's an early X-Mas pressie XD) We saw this guy cosplaying Kaka-sensei sellin weapons and such. We HAD to get a picture of at least that. And we did ^^
We went into a few panals and watched the first 2 eps of Ghost Stories, A phucking funneh show, nobody is safe. i reccomend it. There were also anime viewing rooms and stuff. Watched 3 eps of Furuba before we left.
Went to Artist alley and saw some of the piccus up fer auction. There were also tables out in the halls with all this nifty stuff to buy or look at. I had a fun-gasm.
Saturday
Wow. Came in and the mere sg=ight of all those people made me twitch. It was packed almost wherever we went. The AMV contet we went to first. Personally I liked the Naruto Shorts. Gaara had Foamy's voice! "Squirrelly wrath! Squirrelly Wrath!" Haha....i hurt mai hand clapping so much.
On and on and on.....later mai uncle got meh the Puchuu cap. There were selling Menchi. A lot of Menchi......you cou;d even get him with a skillet!!!
Then the big event.
COSPLAY!!!
Our Mcs were the Limit Break cosplayer,Cherry as Sora and Gren as Heartless Riku from Kh. Both ladies kindly Mc-ed us last year, also (bad Santa, bad!)Homahgawd!!! So many yummy bishies! and the skits! Skitskitskit!!! God, I just died there. So much fun. Afterwards, while the judges were picking winners, while we waited we got to watch this short film. And guess what? FMA goodness! It was the voiceactors acting as their character during the film, presented to us by Vic Mignagna, the voice actor for, yesh!, Edward Elric!!! Titled Fullmetal Fantasy, you can only see it at cons. XD Showing tomorrow (Sunday) at 3.30 pm.
Hehehe.....I had loads of fun. Unfortunatly, I canot attend Sunday. And I have to miss the Phantasmagoria Concert,,,,and i missed the Echostream one too TT.TT One particualary funny event was Cherry/Soar'a wing coming off. XDDD
Anyway, The 2nd Year of Oni-con was amazing, and although I won't be here for next year, I hope you houstonians can attend!
